Grant for professional innovation : What, when and how.
Call for applications are open for the FIP/YPG Grant for professional innovation. The grant is offered by the FIP Young Pharmacists' Group and the FIP Foundation for Education and Research to support and encourage innovation in the profession of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences .
What is the grant to be used for?
The grant will provide financial support of € 1'000 for the implementation of a project by a young pharmacist/pharmace utical scientist. The awarded project should demonstrate creativity, innovation and scientific accuracy. The suggested solution should clearly point to the benefits for the profession and/or community.
At the end of the year, following acceptance of the project report, the grant recipient may additionally be awarded a fully paid trip to attend FIP's World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Istanbul , Turkey during the summer of 2009.

Who may submit a project proposal?
The entry requirements include membership of the FIP plus participation in the Young Pharmacists' Group. Applicants should complete and submit a grant application form before the 3 rd of March 2008.
What kind of projects may be considered?
Funded projects can stem from any field of pharmacy practice and/or pharmaceutical science. Project submissions are assessed on the presence of sufficient background information, sound scientific methods, a reasonable timeline, and potential impact on the profession and/or community.
