ABOUT SEP

SEP (Student Exchange Program) is only one of many IPSF (International Pharmaceutical

Students' Federation) projects, but probably most popular one among students.

During every year more then 700 students from all parts of planet participate in SEP, what makes it one of its kind.It gives unique opportunity to pharmacy students from IPSF member countries to spend some time in foreign country of their choice. During exchange period free lodging is provided and in some cases board or pocket money as well. Board, other extra activities and privileges depends on each host country separately.

Period of exchange depends from country to country and it is usually from 1 to 3 month. Most of exchanges take place during summer, from May till September

During time of exchange doing practice in chosen field of pharmacy is compulsory. Fields available for practice are: retail, hospital, wholesale companies, government, private health agencies, university and industry. Depending on own interest ES (exchange students) are able to improve and enhance knowledge in specific pharmacy field of their choice. After finished exchange every ES gets official certificate of finished practice from IPSF.

SEP helps exchange students to become better professionals and gives them opportunity to improve their knowledge. But not only that, it gives you opportunity to meet other cultures, customs and people. No need to mention life longing friendships and beautiful moments on places you only dreamed about!!!

GOING ABROAD

Who can apply?

Selection. Every year limited number of students can participate in student exchange. That number depends on foreign students placed during previous SEP year in Serbia & Montenegro. As number of students interested in going abroad is much higher comparing to number of available places, pre-selection is necessary. Pre-selection is made considering knowledge of English language, average mark and year of study.

SEP IN SERBIA & MONTENEGRO

Work areas are:

• Community pharmacy
• Industry pharmacy
• University research

Job that ES (Exchange Student) do during stay is basically learning practical side of pharmacy in preferred area. In cooperation with work sites we want to provide quality training in additional field of pharmacy and make ES aware of job requested in that area.

Period of exchange Most of exchanges take place during summer, but SEP in Serbia & Montenegro is opened during whole year. Length of exchange is 1 month.

Selection procedure is done by SEO, only in case of industry selection is made by relevant people from industry that are mentors to students on exchange during their practice.

Accommodation for all ES is provided in Students' Hostel, rented apartments and it is paid by national association - NAPSer. Rooms in Students' Hostel are with two beds and every room has its own bathroom and terrace. Hostel is formed by complex of buildings and it is reserved only for students. In complex you can find everything you need from buffet, food store to internet café. It is place where exchange students from all other faculties are also placed. During those two months Hostel is overcrowded with foreign students and it is great place to meet different people, different cultures and share fun with rest.

Pocket money is not provided as lodging is free. Sometimes work site provide lunch, but it depends on work place.

Social events that we organize depends on number of exchange students interested and time of month.We offer you weekend trips to national parks, mountains, churches, archeological sites, and visit to other major towns.etc.

Other part of social events is linked to fun, good time and adrenalin rise.Considering that we offer you rafting on mountain river, bungee jumping, paint ball, water skiing, night events and everything interesting and crazy enough we find for you, depending on your temper.

On arrival we wait for exchange students and take them to place where they'll be accommodated during stay, and on departure we provide transport from Hostel, for free of course.
