Community pharmacy


Community pharmacy practice in Serbia & Montenegro is organized in association with "Pharmacy Institution - Belgrade ". During their practice students have opportunity to experience what direct contact with patients looks like, to learn about managing community pharmacy and also to learn about making prescribed medicines (creams, lotions, suppositories, solutions, powders, etc.)

"Pharmacy institution - Belgrade " was founded on 27 th of January 1971. It has 1120 employees that work in 103 community pharmacies all around Belgrade . If you choose community you'll be doing practice in one of them. It also has 5 laboratories for production of pharmaceutical shapes and laboratory for medicine control.

You will directly help to patients.
You don't have to wake up early for your practice.
You'll wear white coat with name tag.
You'll have breaks for breakfast / lunch.

Univeristy research

2005 is the first year that NAPSer offers Univeristy as field of practice for foreign students. Research is at Faculty of Pharmacy in capital city, Belgrade. Univeristy research is avaible during whole year, except in the dn of July and in August.

It all depends on your interests and field of speciality. Students may work at one institute, but they may also choose different aproach and visit two institutes during their stay.

Right now avaible institutes are :

Pharmacognosy
Toxicology
Food chemistry - Bromatology


If there are more students interested to come, all three institutes are willing to cooperate and try to place more students. We just need to know this in time, so don't wait, join us for IPSF SEP this year!

Industry pharmacy


Name of industry for doing practice is Galenika. We cooperate with Galenika for a long time, and from very beginning they are organizing high quality practice what many foreign students witnessed. You'll have a unique chance to see complete chain of drug production. Starting from compiling it from compounds to its way to retails, what includes research, drug control and marketing.

During your stay in industry team of professionals will be allocated as your mentors, each of them will be your guide through certain field. On your arrival you'll get handbook with schedule for each working day and introductions on relevant issues. Transportation to and from Galenika is provided as well as one meal. Students determined to have practice in industry is expected to be high motivated and ready to obey practice schedule made by Galenika.
