Belgrade Pharmacy Students` Association (BPSA) was established on November 13th 1998. as non-governmental, non-profit and apolitical organization of pharmacy students based at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade.

As in that period this was the only students organization of the faculty BPSA had a great and difficult task. BPSA at the time participated in the reform of teaching, addressing issues of student standards, the struggle for the autonomy of universities and improving the quality of teaching, organization of sports and entertainment activities for students of pharmacy, etc.. Today, there are various organizations at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade:  BPSA , CNIRS (Center for Scientific Research Students), SDFF (Pharmacy Faculty Sports Society) and the Student Parliament, and responsibilities are now divided among these organizations.

BPSA has established the Student Parliament delegated representatives of the students in the Faculty of Pharmacy Council, and members of the BPSA were initiators and founders of the first Students Parliament of Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade, one of the first Student Parliaments at the University of Belgrade. Establishment of this representative body of students, issues of teaching and teaching reform became his responsibilities, and the BPSA has continued to deal with projects whose goals are bringing students the latest trends related to pharmacy and pharmacy education, and organization of events that can be visited by students of pharmacy, all in order to develop professional awareness of future pharmacists and motivation for cooperation.

Initially under the international name YuPSA (Yugoslav Pharmaceutical Students Association), and later under the name NAPSer, was a full member of the European Association (EPSA) and the International Federation (IPSF) of pharmacy students.

In April 1999. at the 22nd EPSA Congress held in Malta in this organization joined as an associate member, and the following year on the 23rd EPSA Congress in Uppsala - Sweden gets full membership. IPSF has joined in the 46th IPSF Congress held in El Salvador - San Salvador 2000th as an associate member the following year during the 47th IPSF Congress held in Cairo - Egypt receives the status of full member.

Today, BPSA`s memberships in IPSF and EPSA are realized through the National Association of Students of Pharmacy - NAPSer, which is a founder and full member.

BPSA is a founder and a full member of the Center for International Cooperation of Students - CMSS, whose main goal is the promotion of international cooperation between students of Belgrade University. Also, BPSA delegates are representatives in the Assembly of Health Association of retaining students in Belgrade and actively participate in implementing projects of this organization.

BPSA can boast a long successful cooperation with the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Belgrade, the Ministry of Health of Serbia, Institute of Public Health of Serbia, Institute for Blood Transfusion of Serbia, National Office for Tobacco Control, Health supporting the Belgrade Student Association, International Federation of Medical Students - Serbia (IFMSA ), Pharmaceutical Society of Serbia, Serbian Chamber of Pharmacy, Center for Continuing Education, Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade, as well as other student organizations at the Faculty of Pharmacy in Belgrade.
